For most of us, being home this long and this often is a very strange thing to adapt to. It can be tough to find a routine for children out of school and even adults working from home. Here are three easy ways to develop a new quarantine routine.

  1. Start your day early.

It can be tempting to sleep in every day when you are not required to leave your house. Waking up at an earlier time as if you were going to work or school will help your routine feel more familiar.

  1. Create your own workspace.

At school and at work, you probably have your own desk. At home, there are so many comfy places to sit that make putting off work a lot easier. Find a place in your home where you feel the most productive.

  1. Work hard. Play Hard.

Getting all of your work done does not have to mean sitting in front of your laptop for eight hours straight. Take a break! It’s all about balance. Get your work done, but also make time to exercise, read a book, or watch some t.v.

These three tips will help all of this feel a little more normal. Remember, you’re not stuck at home, you’re safe at home.
